Located in one of Tasmania's most beautiful natural settings,
Port Arthur Lodge is a unique, award-winning escape,
featuring newly reburbished 1, 2 and 3 bedroom cabins. With
absolute waterfrontage to stunning Stewarts Bay and its picturesque
sheltered beach, the views are unforgettable.
A short stroll along the coastal track takes you to Australia's
most significant and profound historic site, Port Arthur. The
convict past enshrined there is one of the defining elements
of what it is to be Australian. On the way to the site you will
pass by Lady Bay, where the officer's wives once bathed out
of sight of the convicts only 100 metres away.
Set in bushland, don't be surprised if you have a close encounter
with a wallaby, wombat or echidna whilst staying at Port
Arthur Lodge. Tasmania's famed black cockatoo and green
rosellas are also frequent visitors.
Unwind on one of the 2 pristine beaches, drop a line off our
jetty or just sit back on your sundeck. Each cabin has a electronic
heating. If you feel more energetic, you might like to take
one of the fabulous walks or indulge in some of the other exciting
activities available in the local area (see Things to Do).
