Robe is a town and fishing
port on the Limestone Coast of South Australia. It is on the southern
shore of Guichen Bay, just off the Princes Highway. Robe was named
after the fourth Governor of South Australia, Major Frederick
Robe, who chose the site as a port in 1845. Robe is located 340
kms south east of Adelaide, South Australia and 580 kms north
west of Melbourne, Victoria. |
